Planetshakers - We Speak Life (Live In Melbourne) Lyrics
Lyrics
We speak, strength into these weary bones We speak, the healing power of the Lord For in His name, there are miracles
We speak, nothing is incurable 'Cause we know, that nothing is impossible For in His name, there are miracles
Our God, is more than able Our God, will never fail He is always with us He is faithful 'til the end
We speak, happiness to be restored Rise up and give the glory to the Lord For in His name, there are miracles!
Our God, is more than able Our God, will never fail He is always with us He is faithful 'til the end Our God is full of power Our God, the strongest tower He is always with us He is faithful 'til the end
We speak life, we speak life In the name of Jesus, there is healing Flowing in this place As we lift our voice in faith And we give all the praise To the One who's worthy of all glory Jesus is his name So we lift our voice in praise And we speak life today, oh! We speak life, we speak life In the name of Jesus In the name of Jesus, there is healing Flowing in this place As we lift our voice in faith Come on, give Him the highest praise! And we give all the praise To the One who's worthy of all glory Jesus is his name So we lift our voice in praise
Oh come on, just give Him praise right now Jesus be lifted high in this place We give You all the praise We worship You We worship You Lord, we worship You Lord, we worship You, alone Come on, it's the best thing you can do right now Whatever you're going through, just worship We worship You Just draw close to Him Lord, we worship You Just give Him all your heart and soul Lord, we worship You, alone 'Cause there's nothing better to do Oh, we worship You Lord, we worship You Lord, we worship You, alone With everything that is within us We worship You We worship You 'Cause He inhabits the praises of His people We worship You, hey! Lord, we worship You, alone Come on let's take it to another level Come on and worship! We worship You Lord, we worship You We worship the King of kings Lord, we worship You, alone Sing it one more time, we worship We worship You Lord, we worship You Lord, we worship You, alone Nothing like Your presence, Jesus We find everything that we need
Come on, whatever you need today Would you just reach out and take it by faith The Father knows exactly what you need Oh we love to be in Your presence, Jesus There's no place like You We stand in awe of You, God We stand in awe of You, God Come on as you just continue to fix all your thoughts upon Him 'Cause He is worthy to be praised! Come on, let's just let a big swell of worship rise up to Him 'Cause He is worthy to be praised! We lift our voice to You, Jesus We lift up our hands to You, Jesus 'Cause You're worthy to receive! The highest praise

Meaning & Inspiration
I’ve spent a lot of time sitting in places I shouldn’t have been, smelling like things I shouldn’t have touched. When you’ve walked the long way home, you don’t really care for songs that pretend the floor is clean. Planetshakers, they’ve got this track—"Nothing Is Impossible"—and honestly, it’s loud. It’s got that arena-sized push that usually makes me want to head for the exit, but there’s a line here that caught me off guard: “We speak, nothing is incurable.”
That hits hard when you’re standing in the wreckage of your own choices. We’re taught to hide the incurable parts. We keep the addiction, the bitterness, the things we broke that can't be glued back together behind a closed door. We curate our lives so nobody sees the parts that actually rot. But this lyric? It’s not asking if I’ve got it together. It’s just stating a fact about Him. It’s arrogant, in a way—to stand in the middle of a mess and say, "nothing is incurable." It feels like a dare.
It reminds me of the guy by the pool of Bethesda. Thirty-eight years of waiting for a miracle, and the guy basically tells Jesus he can’t even get into the water when it’s stirred. He’s stuck in his own "incurable" state. Jesus doesn't offer him a map or a self-help seminar; He just tells him to get up. My life has been a long series of trying to fix the unfixable, only to realize I’m the one who needs the changing. I keep trying to pay off the debt with pocket change, forgetting that I didn’t just lose money—I lost myself.
The song goes on: “Our God, is more than able / Our God, will never fail.”
I’ve failed everyone. I’ve failed my own promises. I’ve failed the people who actually stood by me when I was at my worst. So when I hear a choir singing about someone who never fails, it’s irritating at first. It’s almost too bright. But then, it sinks in—that’s the whole point of the gospel, isn't it? If He were like me, I’d be toast. If His faithfulness depended on my consistency, I would’ve been cut loose years ago. The fact that He’s "always with us," even when I was choosing the mud over the table, is the only reason I’m breathing.
It feels cheap to say it, but sometimes I just need to hear that He’s still standing there. I don’t always feel the "healing flowing in this place," and I don’t always feel like lifting my hands. Some days, I’m just trying to keep my head up without crying. But there’s a comfort in the stubbornness of these lyrics. They don't account for my doubt. They don't leave room for my excuses. They just declare that the One who found me in the pigpen is still the One who holds the keys.
I’m still scrubbing the smoke off my skin, but I’m here. And apparently, for Him, that’s enough.
