Lyrics

You are one of a kind

made on a mission

You are so Divine

Dressed in the Vision

You are a Hero, a soldier

With so much credentials

oo oo

You’re Royalty

You are one in a Billion

Mighty man of valor

You are so full of fire

And so full of Love

Just like Jesus

Thats the way you are

Oh oo oo

You are Royalty

We celevrating a Legendary Father

Celebrating a man from God oh

No doubt about it,

You are God’s Son, General

You are an Inspiration,

Teacher to the Nations

We celebrating a Lengendary Father

Celebrating a man sent from God

No doubt about it,

You are God’s Son, General

You are an Inspiration,

Teacher to the Nations

Oh oo oo

You are Royalty

Oh oo oo

You are Royalty

Thank You for teaching Us the way to God

Thank you for Pouring out yourself

Pouring out yourself

The Principle that you teach us

Have made us winners

You are Royalty

For the Things You do

For the Lives you’ve changed

Heaven rejoice

Cos you’re Royalty

Yei hei hei

For Upholding the message

For Upholding The mandate

Oh oh oh

You are Royalty

We celebrating a Legendary Father

Celebrating a man from God oh

No doubt about it,

You are God’s Son, General

You are an Inspiration,

Teacher to the Nations

We celebrating a Legendary Father

Celebrating a man from God oh

No doubt about it,

You are God’s Son, General

You are an Inspiration,

Teacher to the Nations

Royalty

Oh oh oh

You are Royalty

Oh oh oh

You are Royalty

Meaning & Inspiration

I’ve been sitting here thinking about this song, Royalty, from Moses Bliss (Released: 14 Oct 2022, Album: Royalty - Single). It feels like a celebration of a mentor or a spiritual leader, and honestly, it’s a bit of a strange headspace for me to be in while listening to music that’s meant for God. Usually, I’m looking for something that points me straight to the Cross, but here the focus is really heavy on the person being honored. It’s calling this person a "mighty man of valor," and when it says "Just like Jesus, that’s the way you are," I had to hit pause for a second. That’s a bold thing to say, right? I know Paul said to imitate him as he imitates Christ, but putting a human being next to Jesus like that feels like it’s walking a thin line. It’s definitely pointing toward that idea that we are children of God—royalty, like Peter says about a royal priesthood—but it’s easy for my mind to shift from celebrating God’s grace in someone to almost deifying the person himself.

The lyrics mention celebrating a "Legendary Father" and a "Teacher to the Nations," and while I appreciate having leaders who pour themselves out, I keep questioning if we're meant to center our songs around them this way. It feels like we're blurring the lines between the servant and the Master. If this person is royalty, it’s only because of who they belong to, not because of their own "credentials" or being "one in a billion." I want to believe the heart behind this is just gratitude for a godly influence, but sometimes these words feel like they’re putting a heavy pedestal under a human. It makes me wonder if we’re actually getting closer to Jesus, or if we’re just getting better at praising the people who talk about Him. It’s hard to reconcile that feeling of "being made on a mission" with the simple, broken way Scripture talks about us being nothing without the Vine. I’m still wrestling with whether calling someone a "General" or a "Legend" actually honors the Lord, or if it just distracts me from the fact that all the glory is supposed to stay with the One who actually died for us.
