Verse 1

Water You turned into wine
Opened the eyes of the blind
There's no one like You
None like You

Verse 2

Into the darkness You shine
Out of the ashes we rise
There's no one like You
None like You

Chorus

Our God is greater
Our God is stronger
God, You are higher than any other
Our God is healer
Awesome in power
Our God, our God

Bridge

And if our God is for us
Then who can ever stop us
And if our God is with us
Then what can stand against

There is no God like Jehovah

Medley 2

How great is our God, sing with me
How great is our God, and all will see
How great, how great is our God
Name above all names
Worthy of all praise
My heart will sing
How great is our God

Way maker
Miracle worker, Promise keeper
Light in the darkness, My God.

Meaning & Inspiration

“Our God Medley” by Jonathan Nelson gathers several well-known worship songs into one continuous declaration of who God is. It begins with “Water You turned into wine, opened the eyes of the blind,” and the refrain “There’s no one like You,” then moves into “Our God is greater, our God is stronger,” and the question “If our God is for us, then who can ever stop us?” That question is close to Romans 8:31.

The medley then turns to “There is no God like Jehovah,” repeated four times, and to “How great is our God,” which echoes the praise of Psalm 48:1 and Psalm 145:3. The final section names God as “Way maker, miracle worker, promise keeper, light in the darkness,” echoing Isaiah 43:19 and John 1:5.

The closing line, “That is who You are,” repeated three times, sums up the structure. Each piece answers the same need with a statement about God’s character, so the medley works as a congregational set of confession and praise.
