Lyrics

Rule and reign in my life

Rule and reign in my life

I surrender all, I surrender all

Coz all I want is more of You

'Cause all i want is more of You

Rule and reign in my life

Rule and reign in my life

I surrender all, I surrender all

All I want is more of You

All i want is more of You

Pour out your spirit

Pour out your spirit

Pour out your spirit

Here and now

Meaning & Inspiration

Rule & Reign is a direct prayer for divine leadership, complete surrender, and the presence of the Holy Spirit. Its repeated opening request places every part of life under God rather than treating worship as a temporary feeling. The confession of surrender then clarifies what that rule means: competing desires are set aside so that longing for God becomes central. Repetition gives the short lyric a meditative quality and keeps its focus on dependence rather than personal achievement.

The final appeal for the Spirit to be poured out here and now adds urgency to the prayer. Romans 12:1 closely supports the language of surrender by describing the offering of the whole self to God as worship. Psalm 143:10 also joins divine rule with willing obedience, asking God to teach His will and for His Spirit to lead. Together, these themes present worship as yielded life, spiritual hunger, and readiness for God to direct present action. The song remains concise, but its few petitions form a coherent movement from submission to expectancy.
