So Be It is a declaration song about the finality of God's word and the victory of Christ. The opening lines say that when the King speaks a word it cannot be overturned, that when heaven touches earth it can never be reversed, and that there is only One who is sovereign and supreme and whose every word is holy. The chorus rests on the Lamb of God who has overcome, with the testimony standing on His blood, and answers with "It is done. So be it God."
The song then moves from praise of the One on the throne, the Alpha and Omega, to the cross, recalling the nails, the wounds and the mocking crown, and then to the resurrection with the repeated cry that He is alive. It closes with the finished work, the empty grave and a prayer for His return.
