Lyrics
Verse 1
Death has died, crushed by nail-pierced hands
When You said, "It's finished," life began
Overcome by grace, new mercy fell
Oh, the gates of Hell could not prevail
Chorus
Jesus, the King of the kingdom
Jesus, the Author of freedom
Death has lost its say to a conquered grave
Jesus, the King of the kingdom
Jesus, the Author of freedom
Every day we wake to a conquered grave
Verse 2
Now You stand, the resurrected Christ
All who come to You will be revived
Hope that can't be stopped, it can't be tamed
Our confidence is found in Your great name
Chorus
Jesus, the King of the kingdom
Jesus, the Author of freedom
Death has lost its say to a conquered grave
Jesus, the King of the kingdom
Jesus, the Author of freedom
Every day we wake to a conquered grave
Bridge
Who could stand against the Holy One
Even Hell's defenses turn and run
And we will rise again and stand
With Him who's overcome the grave
You've overcome the grave
Instrumental Break
Chorus
Jesus, the King of the kingdom
Jesus, the Author of freedom
Death has lost its say to a conquered grave
Jesus, the King of the kingdom
Jesus, the Author of freedom
Death has lost its say to a conquered grave
