Bruna Karla - Te Amo (I Love You) Lyrics
Lyrics
I love you, I love you In rainy days and shinny nights No matter what I will love you through the time
I love you, I love you And there is nothing I can´t do To be forever by your side When all is said and done Our love goes on
I love you, I love you I love you more than you could know I love you, with all my heart and all my dreams and all my soul I love you, I love you This is the way I found to say I love you Throughout the time, throughout the ages, throughout the days
Em você encontrei o amor de Deus Que me abençoou Que nos abençoou
Te amo, te amo mais do que eu posso descrever I love you, whit all my heart and all my dreams and all my soul I love you, I love you Mais do que alguém jamais te amou Te amo e ter você é o que me move o som do amor
I love you I love you

Meaning & Inspiration
I’m sitting here with the static of the world still clinging to my jacket. My hands aren't clean, and if I’m being honest, I’m not sure I’ve fully washed the dust of the pig pen off my boots yet. When I hear Bruna Karla and Anderson Freire singing “O que eu tenho em mim é um presente de Deus,” I don’t hear a sweet, Sunday-morning melody. I hear a confession that doesn’t make sense.
If you’ve been where I’ve been—out there, where the shadows grow long and the only thing you have to show for your life is a pile of regrets—you know that the "present" isn’t something you earn. It’s an ambush. You spend years running, burning bridges, and proving that you’re capable of destroying anything good that touches your life. Then, somehow, there’s an "I love you" that doesn't demand a payment plan. It just exists.
The line that trips me up is when they sing about finding the love of God in another person: “Em você encontrei o amor de Deus.”
I spent a long time thinking God was some distant judge waiting for me to hit a quota. I thought the love was conditional, based on how well I cleaned up my act. But then you look at someone, or you receive a grace you didn’t ask for, and you realize you were looking for a King on a throne when He was actually waiting in the mess of your relationships. It’s scandalous, really. It’s the way the father in the story didn’t wait for the boy to finish his speech of repentance before throwing his arms around him. He just smelled the filth and pulled him close anyway.
That’s what this song feels like to me. It’s not about being perfect enough to be worthy of a love song. It’s about someone realizing that the only reason they’re capable of loving at all—the only reason they aren't still lost—is because they were found first.
“Te amo e ter você é o que me move o som do amor.”
It’s terrifying to be loved like that. It’s easier to hide in the dark where you don't have to face the light of someone actually caring if you’re okay. When you’ve lived with the smoke of your own choices, receiving kindness feels like a threat to your autonomy. But there it is. The lyrics aren’t trying to be deep or academic; they’re just repeating the same thing over and over, like someone who can’t quite believe their own luck. Like someone who just got home and is still checking the locks to make sure the door is actually shut against the cold.
I’m still trying to figure out how to stop running, but songs like this? They make the running feel a whole lot less necessary. You don’t need to be tidy to hear that kind of grace. You just need to be willing to be found.
