About Bruna Karla
Bruna Karla is a Brazilian contemporary Christian music singer who began her career performing in evangelical churches. She was born Bruna Karla Simplício dos Santos on July 19, 1989, in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, and started singing in church before the age of five. In 2001, she was introduced to the record label MK Music by fellow artist Fernanda Brum, and that same year she released her debut album, Alegria Real.
Over the following years, Bruna Karla built a consistent recording career with MK Music, releasing albums including Vento do Espírito, Advogado Fiel, Aceito o Teu Chamado, Como Águia, and Incomparável. Several of these projects earned commercial certifications: Vento do Espírito received a Gold certification, Aceito o Teu Chamado achieved both Gold and Platinum certifications, and Advogado Fiel was awarded a 3x Platinum certification.
Her song “Sou Humano” won the award for Best Music at the 2011 Troféu Promessas. Additionally, she has received multiple nominations for the Latin Grammy Award in the category of Best Portuguese Language Christian Album, reflecting her standing in the Brazilian gospel music scene.
In 2007, Bruna Karla married musician Bruno Santos. Her catalog also includes the song “Cicatrizes.”
