Lauren Daigle was born on September 9, 1991, in Lake Charles, Louisiana, and is a singer and songwriter who began her career in contemporary Christian music. She signed with Centricity Music in 2013 and released her debut full-length album, How Can It Be, in 2015. The album reached No. 1 on the Billboard Top Christian Albums chart.
Daigle followed with Behold: A Christmas Collection in 2016. Her 2018 album, Look Up Child, debuted at No. 3 on the Billboard 200 chart and won a Grammy Award for Best Contemporary Christian Music Album. The album's lead single, "You Say," held the record for the longest-running No. 1 song on the Billboard Hot Christian Songs chart. Another early single, "Trust in You," also appeared on her debut album.
Daigle has achieved crossover success in mainstream pop music while maintaining a presence in the Christian music industry. She has won two Grammy Awards, including Best Contemporary Christian Music Performance/Song for "You Say." She has also received twelve GMA Dove Awards, six Billboard Music Awards, and four American Music Awards.
In 2021, she released the single "Hold On To Me." Her self-titled album, Lauren Daigle, arrived in 2023 and included the single "Thank God I Do."
