The Kingdom Heirs are a Southern Gospel quartet that has served as the resident gospel group at Dollywood theme park since 1986. Formed in 1971 in Knoxville, Tennessee, the group is based in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee. Their name was chosen from the Bible verse James 2:5, reflecting their mission to share gospel music.
The quartet has released numerous albums, including The Last Big Thing and No Better Time. Their catalog features songs such as “I’ll Know I’m Home,” “The Borrowed Tomb,” “Just Preach Jesus,” “He Locked The Gates,” “Damascus Road,” and “Forever Changed.” The group has achieved multiple top-five songs on Southern Gospel charts.
The Kingdom Heirs have received consistent industry recognition. They were awarded Newcomer Group of the Year in 1989 by the SGMA. Their album No Better Time won Southern Gospel Album of the Year at the 2025 Absolutely Gospel Music Awards.
