Lyrics
Great is Thy faithfulness, O God my Father
There is no shadow of turning with Thee
Thou changest not, Thy compassions, they fail not
As Thou hast been, Thou forever will be
Great is Thy faithfulness
Great is Thy faithfulness
Morning by morning new mercies I see
All I have needed Thy hand hath provided
Great is Thy faithfulness, Lord, unto me
Pardon for sin and a peace that endureth
Thine own dear presence to cheer and to guide
Strength for today and bright hope for tomorrow
Blessings all mine, with ten thousand beside
Great is Thy faithfulness
Great is Thy faithfulness
Morning by morning new mercies I see
All I have needed Thy hand hath provided
Great is Thy faithfulness, Lord, unto me

Meaning & Inspiration
Anthem Lights' acapella rendition carries the enduring message of a classic hymn: God's character does not shift, and his compassion does not fail. The repeated confession of faithfulness is supported by images of mercy arriving each morning and every need being supplied. Pardon, peace, guidance, strength, and hope are presented not as abstract ideas but as daily gifts from a dependable Father.
The language closely echoes Lamentations 3, where fresh mercies accompany the declaration that the Lord's faithfulness is great. Its reference to having no shadow of turning also recalls the description of God in James 1:17. Together, these biblical connections reinforce the song's confidence in divine constancy. The arrangement may be identified as acapella, but the central emphasis remains the hymn's clear assurance: past faithfulness gives reason to trust God for present needs and future hope.
