About Selah
Selah is a contemporary Christian vocal trio formed in 1997. The original lineup consisted of siblings Todd Smith and Nicol Smith (later Nicol Sponberg) along with Allan Hall. Following Nicol Sponberg's departure in 2004, Amy Perry joined the group as a vocalist.
The group is known for their vocal harmonies and for modernizing traditional Christian hymns. Todd Smith and Nicol Smith spent their childhood in Sub-Saharan Africa, which influenced the group's early musical style. Selah has been featured on programs such as The 700 Club, The Hour of Power, and TBN.
Selah has released numerous albums, including their debut Be Still My Soul (1999), as well as Press On, You Amaze Us, Bless the Broken Road, Rose of Bethlehem, Hiding Place, At This Table, and Higher Name. The title track "You Amaze Us" debuted at No. 1 on Billboard's Christian Soft AC chart.
The group has won 11 Gospel Music Association (GMA) Dove Awards and has sold over 4 million records.
