Lyrics
Verse 1
I've seen You do miracles
I know that You can
Move mountains impossible
With the touch of Your hand
I've seen You do miracles
And I keep praying for mine
But maybe my miracle
Is learning to find
Chorus
Even this broken points to Your blessings
Even this weakness tells of Your strength
Even this burden, this heartbreak, this hurt is
Something that won't go to waste
The less that I have is the more You're providing
The less that I bring is the more You can do
Lord, help me see it, don't let me miss it
Even this is something You can use
Verse 2
I keep praying for healing
You keep building my faith
So if this is my story, Lord
Then let my story say
Chorus
Even this broken points to Your blessings
Even this weakness tells of Your strength
Even this burden, this heartbreak, this hurt is
Something that won't go to waste
The less that I have is the more You're providing
The less that I bring is the more You can do
Lord, help me see it, don't let me miss it
Even this is something You can use
Bridge
Oh, You give and take away
Still blessed be Your name
Oh, I know I'll see my healing
But until that glorious day
Chorus
Even this broken points to Your blessings
Even this weakness tells of Your strength
Even this burden, this heartbreak, this hurt is
Something that won't go to waste
The less that I have is the more You're providing
The less that I bring is the more You can do
Lord, help me see it, don't let me miss it
Even this is something You can use
Outro
Oh, even this is something You can use

Meaning & Inspiration
"Even This" is built around the experience of praying for healing and not yet receiving it. The first verse recalls having "seen You do miracles" while still praying for one, then wonders whether the miracle might be "learning to find" something in the waiting. The chorus names a list of hard things, a broken place, weakness, a burden and heartbreak, and says each is "something that won't go to waste."
A reversal runs through it: "The less that I have is the more You're providing / The less that I bring is the more You can do." The second verse carries the same posture, "I keep praying for healing / You keep building my faith," and asks that the story told be one of faith. The bridge borrows "You give and take away / Still blessed be Your name" while holding onto hope of healing "that glorious day."
The idea that weakness displays God's strength matches 2 Corinthians 12:9, and the bridge echoes Job's response in Job 1:21.
