Meaning & Inspiration
We Will Go is a mission song about carrying God's glory to the world. The first verses picture all nations standing together with one voice, generations crying out that He is God, and a united body with one spirit, faith, hope and Lord. The pre-chorus cries out for heaven to come down, and the chorus declares that the singers will go, shouting that His name is holy, shining His light and letting the whole world see His glory.
The next verse says they were called out of darkness into amazing grace and will tell the story of His love, and the bridge asks for eyes opened to see the Kingdom and hearts opened to hear His call. The themes follow Matthew 28:19-20, Isaiah 6:8, 1 Peter 2:9 on being called out of darkness, Ephesians 4:4-6 on one body, and Psalm 96:3.
