About Kent Henry
Kent Henry is a worship leader, musician, and teacher who has served in ministry for more than forty years. He was born around 1953 in St. Louis, Missouri, and earned a Bachelor in Management in Music and Religion from Webster University in St. Louis. In 1987, he founded Kent Henry Ministries, which became a platform for his ongoing work in worship and teaching.
Henry is widely recognized for his involvement in the contemporary praise and worship movement of the 1980s and 1990s. He served as a music director and worship leader at Grace World Outreach Center (later Grace Church STL) in St. Louis. He was the featured worship leader on the 1985 Integrity’s Hosanna! Music release “All Hail King Jesus,” a key recording in the series. Other notable releases in his catalog include “My Refuge,” “The Secret Place,” and “So Close to You” (all on Integrity’s Hosanna! Music), as well as the song “When I Look Into Your Holiness.”
Over the course of his career, Henry has recorded more than sixty albums of worship and praise music, including “Worthy of It All,” “Jeremiah 29:11,” and “Dance in the Glory.” His extensive discography reflects his long dedication to creating congregational worship resources.
In 2016, Henry co-founded Carriage House Ministries with his children, Matt and Ariel. The ministry continues his focus on worship and discipleship, building on the foundation he established through decades of music and teaching.
