Verse 1
Taken up out of the world
Shaken up with just a word
Turned around so suddenly
I'm alive eternally

Something invisible
Has become so beautiful
I know I am born again
Laughing and stumbling
Pre-Chorus
Draw me after You
Let me run with You
Show me all Your
Kingdom come, yeah

My heart is where my treasure lies
My great reward is in Your eyes
My every breath belongs to You
You are my treasure, yes You are Lord
Verse 3
Take the world up out of me
Put the fruit back on the tree
I give everything to be
What only You want me to be
Verse 4
The treasure that You've become
Is shining brighter than the sun
I know I am born again
I'm stumbling
Pre-Chorus
Draw me after You
Oh, let me run with You
Show me all Your
Kingdom come, yeah
Chorus
My heart is where my treasure lies
My great reward is in Your eyes
My every breath belongs to You
You are my treasure, yes You are Lord

My heart is where my treasure lies
My great reward is in Your eyes

Meaning & Inspiration
Treasure is a song about finding Jesus as the greatest treasure and living for Him. The first verses describe being taken out of the world, turned around suddenly, made alive forever and born again, laughing and stumbling. The pre-chorus asks to be drawn after Him and shown more of His kingdom, and the chorus says the heart is where the treasure lies, with a great reward in His eyes.
The second part prays to take the world out of the singer, put the fruit back on the tree, and to give everything to be what He wants. The treasure that shines brighter than the sun echoes Matthew 6:21 and Matthew 13:44, new birth John 3:3, drawing after Him Song of Solomon 1:4, and the great reward Genesis 15:1. Repetitive and earnest, the song builds toward declarations of devotion.
