Lyrics
So glad I'm here! So glad I'm here! So glad I'm here in Jesus name! I'm so glad I'm here!
So glad I'm here! So glad I'm here! So glad I'm here in Jesus name!
[x2]
I'm so glad just to be in the number
Just to be in the number one more time
I got so many reasons to be grateful
'Cause I belong to Him and He is mine
Believe I'll sing a song
Sing while I'm here! Sing while I'm here! Sing while I'm here in Jesus name! I'm so glad I'm here!
Sing while I'm here! Sing while I'm here! Sing while I'm here in Jesus name!
C'mon children let's get together
Let's all get on one accord
If you really, really care to be here
C'mon and lift your voices and let's praise the Lord
Believe I'll shout a while
Shout while I'm here! Shout while I'm here! Shout while I'm here in Jesus name! I'm so glad I'm here!
Shout while I'm here! Shout while I'm here! Shout while I'm here in Jesus name!
I believe I'll testify (in Jesus name)
Tell what God has done (in Jesus name)
He loved us so much (in Jesus name)
That He gave His only son (in Jesus name)

Meaning & Inspiration
So Glad I Am Here is a communal song of gratitude for life, salvation, and the opportunity to praise. Its recurring declarations move through singing, shouting, testimony, clapping, and giving God glory. The lyric does not treat gratitude as silent reflection; it turns thanksgiving into shared participation in the name of Jesus. References to belonging to Christ, being preserved, and receiving health and strength supply concrete reasons for the celebration.
The call for the gathered children to come together in one accord gives the song a strong church fellowship setting. Its testimony section also connects divine love with the gift of the Son, then returns to personal accounts of what God has done. These ideas align closely with biblical invitations to enter worship with thanksgiving and to speak openly about the works of God. Repetition supports the call-and-response character, allowing joy, witness, and praise to build together as the congregation celebrates being present before God.
