Lyrics

Verse 1

He will return to Jerusalem
Zion's King will restore the land
The clouds will part
And our King will descend
With fire in His eyes
Seven stars in His right hand

Chorus

Hu Yavo, Yavo?
Hu Yavo, Yeshua?
Hu Yavo, Yavo?
Hu Yavo, Yeshua?

Verse 2

We know He came
The Lamb who was slain
He'll come again
Our conquering King
On that day His sword will go forth
To take back and restore What belongs
What belongs to our Lord!

Bridge

Your bride will go forth
To the ends of the Earth
Preparing the way of the Lord
Beckoning the day
When Israel will say
"Baruch haba b'Shem Adonai! Bo Yeshua Bo!"

Meaning & Inspiration

This Messianic song looks ahead to the return of Jesus, using the Hebrew refrain "Hu Yavo", which means "He will come". The opening verse pictures a king returning to Jerusalem, clouds parting, and a figure with fire in His eyes and seven stars in His right hand, imagery that matches the vision in the book of Revelation.

The second verse looks back as well as forward. It names the Lamb who was slain, then says the same Lord will come again as a conquering King to restore what belongs to Him.

The bridge turns to the church as a bride sent to the ends of the earth to prepare the way of the Lord. It closes with a Hebrew cry, "Baruch haba b'Shem Adonai", the phrase from Psalm 118 that Jesus linked to His coming, and the call "Bo Yeshua Bo", meaning "Come, Jesus, come".
