Meaning & Inspiration
Fiel Dios is a Spanish-language worship song about the faithfulness of God. The first verse says all doubt leaves when looking on His face and admiring His work, and that His covenant of love is fulfilled in forgiveness through His grace. The chorus declares that He is a faithful God, in sadness, pain and joy, the strength and song of every day.
The second verse says that in every stage He remains always faithful and gives new mercies each morning, and the bridge repeats that great is His faithfulness. The themes follow Lamentations 3:22-23, Exodus 15:2, Deuteronomy 7:9 and Psalm 36:5, with Hebrews 10:23 on His faithfulness to promises. The repeated bridge echoes the familiar hymn line about God's faithfulness, and the simple Spanish phrases and steady chorus make the song easy for a congregation to sing.
