Meaning & Inspiration
“Good Woman” by Flavour is a celebration of a wife as a gift from God, mixing English, Pidgin, and Igbo. The opening verse says a good woman comes from the Lord and cannot be found in the market, and the refrain “Ezi nwanyi amaka” points to a good and beautiful woman, with other lines saying that blessing comes from God’s hand. A later verse quotes the idea behind Proverbs 18:22 directly: “He who find a wife, find a good thing, and obtain favour from the Lord.”
