Meaning & Inspiration
Brilla Sobre Mí is a Spanish-language song asking for God's light to shine on the singer. The chorus says that God shines so brightly, like stars in the heavens reflecting the sun and its rays, and the verse places that light against a depraved, crooked generation. The repeated "Brilla" becomes a prayer to shine.
A further section asks to live and move in God, with all of Him within the singer, and offers passion, heart, fame, attention, soul and song with the repeated "toma todo," meaning "take everything." The final lines ask that His love shine every day and say that His love toward the singer will never leave.
