Lyrics
Verse 1
Almighty Father, we lift our hands to You
We receive Your power
To heal as You would do

As we worship in Your presence there is healing
The Holy Spirit's gentle touch is flowing
Jesus, we believe
Jesus, there's healing in Your name

Meaning & Inspiration
"As We Worship" opens with a simple, direct address to God, lifting hands and asking to receive power specifically described as healing power rather than general blessing. That specific request frames the entire short song around one particular expectation, restoration rather than only comfort.
Its chorus ties that healing directly to the act of worship itself, describing the Holy Spirit's presence as something that flows gently precisely as worship takes place. That connection, healing located within worship rather than separate from it, treats the presence of God encountered in praise as itself the source of restoration.
Rooted in charismatic contemporary worship's emphasis on encounter, the song functions as a brief, focused prayer for healing, its closing declaration naming Jesus's own name as the specific location where that healing is found rather than an impersonal spiritual force.
