Boaz Danken - Yesu Waweza Lyrics
Lyrics
Wanadamu wote wameshindwa
Wewe Yesu waweza
Dunia yote imeshindwa
Wewe Yesu waweza
Wewe ni Mungu
Kwa wote wenye mizigo
Hakuna jambo usiloliweza
Wanadamu wote wameshindwa
Wewe Yesu waweza
Dunia yote imeshindwa
Wewe Yesu waweza
Wewe ni Mungu
Kwa wote wenye mizigo
Hakuna jambo usiloliweza
Wewe ni Mungu
Kwa wote wenye mizigo
Hakuna jambo usiloliweza

Meaning & Inspiration
I’ve been sitting here thinking about that line where he says humans have failed but Jesus is able, and it hits home because it’s exactly what the Gospels keep pointing toward. When the disciples asked who could possibly be saved, Jesus just looked at them and said that with people it’s impossible, but not with God. That’s the core of it, isn't it? We spend so much time trying to fix our own mess or fix the world, but the song strips that away, moving us toward that singular focus on His power instead of our own efforts. It makes me stop and wonder if I really believe that in the quiet moments when everything around me feels like it’s falling apart.
There’s this honesty in admitting that the world itself has reached its limit, that there’s no human answer for the weight of things. It reminds me of how He invited those who are weary and carrying heavy burdens to come to Him for rest. That part in the song about Him being the God for those with burdens feels like a direct invitation to stop striving. But then I get stuck on the part that says there is nothing He cannot do, and I have to reconcile that with the reality that life is often full of pain and things that don't get 'fixed' the way I want them to. Does that mean my understanding of His power is too small, or am I just looking for the wrong kind of solution? It’s a hard balance to hold, trusting that He is actually capable of everything while still learning to trust Him when the answer looks like a 'no' or a long wait instead of a miracle. I suppose it comes back to whether He is God because He changes my circumstances, or if He is God even when those circumstances stay exactly as they are.
