Lo viejo ya pasó
Mas tu amor no cesó
Siempre tu gracia
El fundamento es
Lo que pensé murió
Tu vida respiró
Tu Hijo hace
Brillar la oscuridad

Jesús te amamos
Cuánto te amamos
Y te adora

Tú esperanza das
Al huérfano un hogar
Y lo perdido
Fue hallado en Ti
Por el cansancio das
Fuerzas en su lugar
Tú nos limpiaste
Viviste tu esplendor

Meaning & Inspiration
"Jesús Te Amamos" ("Jesus We Love You") opens by naming transformation directly, the old having passed while God's love and grace remain constant, language echoing a well-known description of becoming a new creation. That contrast between what has ended and what continues frames the song's opening gratitude.
Its chorus repeats a simple declaration of love and worship, naming the heart itself as the one adoring God in response to everything he has done. A later verse lists specific provisions, hope given to the orphan, what was lost now found, strength given in place of exhaustion, each tied to God's direct action rather than circumstance improving on its own.
Sung in Spanish within contemporary worship tradition, the song functions as an extended expression of gratitude and adoration, its closing repetition, pouring out affection and devotion before Jesus, treating that outpouring as the heart's natural response to provision already received.
