About Rebekah Dawn

Rebekah Dawn is a gospel musician, worship leader, and creative arts director based in Kenya. Born in Centerville, Mississippi, she relocated to Kenya as an infant. She studied music ministry at Hillsong College in Sydney, Australia. Since 2005, she has served as a worship leader and creative arts director at Nairobi Lighthouse Church.

She is a singer, songwriter, and music producer who has been producing music since 2008. Her musical style is often described as gospel, featuring soulful melodies and inspiring lyrics. Rebekah is married to Allan Gituthu, with whom she frequently collaborates on music. Her releases include the singles “Kutembea Nawe” (2015), “Even Here” featuring Allan Sucre (2018), “Hatua Kwa Hatua” (2021), “Oh My Soul” featuring Mary Monari (2021), “Utugi Wa Magegania” (2022), and “Nitakumbuka” featuring The NLC Choir (2025). She also released the album “This Chosen Road” in 2023.

In 2017, Rebekah Dawn was nominated for “Best Artist” at the Diaspora Entertainment Awards and Recognition (DEAR Awards) and for “Song of the Year” at the Groove Awards.
