About Matt Redman
Matt Redman is an English Christian worship leader, singer-songwriter, and author, born on February 14, 1974. He began leading worship at age twenty at St. Andrew’s Church in Chorleywood, England, and later co-founded the Soul Survivor movement, a global Christian youth organization and music festival. Redman has also authored or co-authored several books on Christian worship, including The Unquenchable Worshipper and Facedown, and has been involved in church planting, including work with Passion City Church in Atlanta, Georgia.
Throughout his career, Redman has released numerous albums, including 10,000 Reasons, Lamb of God, Unbroken Praise, and Let There Be Wonder. His catalog of songs includes widely sung worship titles such as “10,000 Reasons (Bless the Lord),” “Blessed Be Your Name,” “The Heart of Worship,” “You Never Let Go,” “Your Grace Finds Me,” and “Son of Suffering.”
Redman’s songwriting has received significant recognition. He is a winner of two Grammy Awards for “10,000 Reasons (Bless the Lord)” in 2013. The same song reached No. 1 on the Billboard Christian Songs chart in 2012 and was certified Gold by the RIAA in 2018. He has also won 13 Gospel Music Association (GMA) Dove Awards. Redman currently resides in California with his wife, Beth, and their five children.
