About Joe Praize

Joe Praize is a Nigerian gospel singer, songwriter, and praise and worship leader. He was born Joseph Omo Ebhodaghe on June 20, 1979, in Edo State, Nigeria. He became a born-again Christian in 1991 and later graduated with a degree in Social Work and Administration from the University of Jos in Plateau State. He began his professional music career in 2005 and serves as a praise and worship leader at Christ Embassy, also known as LoveWorld.

Praize rose to popularity following the release of his song “Mighty God.” The track earned him the Song of the Year award at the Love World Awards in 2010. He also won Worship Song of the Year at the Love World Awards in 2011 and Best West Africa at the Africa Gospel Music Awards UK in 2011. His recorded catalog includes the albums My Praise, The Assignment, Praise Ovation, and Most High. Among his notable songs are “Alpha Omega,” “Unchangeable,” and “My God, My Love.”

Over the course of his ministry, Praize has performed in countries including South Africa, Canada, the United Kingdom, and the United States. He married his wife, Joana, in June 2017.
