Meaning & Inspiration
Way Maker (Swahili Medley) blends English and Swahili worship into one extended song. It opens in Swahili with the Lord as savior and guide who loves the singer more today than yesterday, whose blessings do not end and who does not change like people. It then moves into "Way Maker" with the English line "You are here, moving in our midst" and the Swahili "Nakuabudu," meaning "I worship You," and names Him way maker, miracle worker, promise keeper and light in the darkness.
Other sections call on the name of Jesus as healing, mighty and higher than every other name, and call Him King of kings, Lion of Judah and mighty man of war, with the Swahili "Mfalme wa wafalme" and "Mwanzo tena Mwisho" for King of kings and Beginning and End.
