Lyrics
Verse 1
There is no situation where my God can be defeated
For He is bigger than my circumstance
And there is no man or mountain that’s able to stand against Him
For He is Maker and Ruler of all
Chorus
Giants fall, one and all
The Jordan rolls back for me
The angry billows cease
When Jesus stands and says: "Peace, be still!"
Oh… Oh…
Verse 2
He’s bigger than my circumstance
He said He is God, there is no other
When you go through your storms, He is right there
Don’t fear, and no matter how high your billows roll
Your billows know
They know Abraham’s God cannot fail, He is still in control
Chorus (Repeat)
Giants fall, one and all
The Jordan rolls back for me
The angry billows cease
When Jesus stands and says: "Peace, be still!"
Oh… Oh…
Oh… Oh…
Bridge
He’s bigger than my circumstance
He said He is God
There is no other…
(When you go through your storms, He is right there)
Right there!
Don’t fear, and no matter how high your billows roll
Your billows know
They know Abraham’s God cannot fail, He is still in control
Chorus (Repeat)
Giants fall, one and all
The Jordan rolls back for me
The angry billows cease
When Jesus stands and says: "Peace, be still!"
Peace be still…
Oh… Oh…
Oh… Oh…
Outro
He’s bigger than my circumstance
Bigger than, bigger than…
Chorus (Repeat)
Giants fall, one and all
The Jordan rolls back for me
The angry billows cease
When Jesus stands and says: "Peace, be still!"
Peace be still…
Oh… Oh…
Oh… Oh…
He’s bigger than my circumstance
Bigger than… Bigger than…
Chorus (Repeat)
Giants fall, one and all
The Jordan rolls back for me
The angry billows cease
When Jesus stands and says: "Peace, be still!"

Meaning & Inspiration
“Bigger Than My Circumstance” by The Foster Triplets is a song of confidence in God’s power over trouble. It opens by saying that no situation can defeat God, no man or mountain can stand against Him, and that He is Maker and Ruler of all. The chorus gathers three pictures of that power: giants falling, the Jordan rolling back, and the angry billows ceasing when Jesus says “Peace, be still!”
Those images draw on Scripture. The giants recall David and Goliath in 1 Samuel 17, the Jordan recalls Joshua 3:16 where the waters stood still, and “Peace, be still” is the command of Jesus in Mark 4:39. The second verse speaks to anyone passing through storms, saying God is right there and that the billows know Abraham’s God cannot fail.
The song repeats its chorus until it becomes a settled declaration. Its message is that circumstances, however large, are smaller than the God who is present in them.
