Lyrics
God's been good to you, can I get a witness? (Yeah)
You don't have to worry (You don't have to worry)
Don't you be afraid (And don't you be afraid)
Joy comes (Joy comes in the morning)
Troubles, they don't last always (Troubles, they don't last always)
For there is (For there's a friend in Jesus)
Who will wipe your tears (Who will wipe your tears away)
And if your heart (And if your heart is broken)
Just lift your hands and say (Just lift your hands and say)
Come on fellas, oh (Oh, I know that I can make it)
Hallelujah (I know that I can stand)
No matter what may come (No matter what may come my way)
My life (My life is in Your hands)
With Jesus, I can take it, come on (With Jesus, I can take it)
With Him, I know (With Him, I know I can stand)
No matter (No matter what may come my way)
Turn it around, turn it around (My life is in Your hands)
I know that I can make it (I know that I can make it)
I know that I can stand (I know that I can stand)
No matter (No matter what may come my way)
My life (My life is in Your hands)
With Jesus, I can take it (With Jesus, I can take it)
With Him, I know (With Him, I know I can stand)
No matter, people (No matter what may come my way)
(My life is in Your hands)
I know (I know that I can make it)
I know that I (I know that I can stand)
(No matter what may come my way)
(My life is in Your hands)
With Jesus, I can take it (With Jesus, I can take it)
Come on, with Him, I know (With Him I know I can stand)
No matter (No matter what may come my way)
(My life is in Your hands)
I know (I know that I can make it)
(I know that I can stand)
No matter (No matter what may come my way)
My life (My life is in Your hands)
With Jesus, I can take it (With Jesus, I can take it)
With Him, I can stand (With Him I know I can stand)
No matter (No matter what may come my way)
My life, come on (My life is in Your hands)
(My life is in Your hands)
(My life is in Your hands)
(My life is in Your hands)
My life is in Your hands
Because He lives
I can face tomorrow
Because Jesus lives
All fear is gone
Because I know, I know, I know
Who holds the future
And life is worth living
Just because He lives
He's alive, He's alive
He's got the whole world in His hands
He's got the whole world in His hands
He's got the whole wide world in His hands
He's got the whole world in His hands
He's got my whole world in His hands
He's got my whole world in capable His hands
He's got my whole world in His hands
He's got the whole world in His hands
Yes, Jesus loves me
Oh, yes, Jesus loves me
And yes, Jesus loves me
The Bible tells me so
Yes, Jesus (Loves me) Set the love on you
(Yes, Jesus loves me)
(Yes, Jesus loves me)
(The Bible tells me so)

Meaning & Inspiration
“My Life Is In Your Hands” gathers several familiar gospel confessions around trust in Jesus. Trouble is acknowledged as temporary, tears are met by Christ’s friendship, and a broken heart is invited to respond with faith. The assurance that joy comes in the morning directly echoes Psalm 30:5, placing present pain within hope for God’s restoring care.
The central refrain locates courage in Jesus rather than personal strength. Confidence to stand and face whatever comes rests on the belief that life and the future remain in His hands. The later movement through “Because He Lives,” “He’s Got the Whole World in His Hands,” and “Yes, Jesus Loves Me” widens that confidence into resurrection hope, divine rule, and childlike assurance of love. Together, these declarations present Christian endurance as a response to who Jesus is: alive, compassionate, sovereign, and trustworthy. Fear loses its authority because the One who holds the future also holds each individual life.
