Meaning & Inspiration
Vida Nueva centers on the transformation of a life raised by Christ. The chorus draws its main confession from the image of Christ living within the believer, while the verses move from darkness and hopelessness to faith and freedom. Lazarus becomes the recurring image: a person called out of the grave and given new life.
The cross and the empty tomb answer the song’s language of accusation and guilt, pointing to forgiveness and resurrection rather than self-defense. Its movement from no hope to renewed faith closely echoes the New Testament’s language of dying with Christ and being raised to walk in newness of life. The repeated phrase “me has hecho revivir” keeps the emphasis on grace as the source of that renewal. Gratitude then becomes worship, giving the song a clear progression from rescue to confession and praise.
