About Zauntee
Zauntee is the stage name of American Christian hip-hop artist Zachariah Erickson. Born on May 21, 1999, and raised in Tampa, Florida, he is a singer, songwriter, and music producer. He began writing music at age ten and started producing at age fourteen, setting the foundation for a career dedicated to sharing his faith through rap and hip-hop.
Signed to Atlantic Records, Zauntee has also released music through BEC Recordings and Fair Trade Services. His stated mission is to advance the Gospel of Jesus Christ through his music and ministry. In 2019, he toured with the band Casting Crowns on their "Only Jesus Tour," and the following year he participated in the Winter Jam 2020 tour.
Zauntee released the EPs Perspective, Part 1 and Perspective, Part 2 in 2018, followed by the EP Twenty Four Seven in 2020. His debut album 3:34 arrived in 2020, with The Stonebrook Project following in 2022 and We Already Won in 2024. His singles include "God Taught Me" and "Hard Work God First."
His work has earned recognition from the GMA Dove Awards. He was nominated for Rap/Hip-hop Album of the Year at the 52nd GMA Dove Awards for 3:34 in 2021, and again for the same category at the 55th GMA Dove Awards for We Already Won in 2024. That year he was also nominated for Rap/Hip-hop Recorded Song of the Year for "Hard Work God First." Additionally, his song "God Had Other Plans" reached number one on The Hot Chart Christian Hip Hop radio chart.
