About We The Kingdom

We The Kingdom is an American contemporary Christian music band formed in 2018. The group is a multi-generational family collective consisting of Ed Cash, Scott Cash, Martin Cash, and Andrew Bergthold. Franni Rae Cash was also a member of the band until her departure in 2023. The band’s name is derived from the belief that “the kingdom of God is here among us.” They are based in Nashville, Tennessee.

Their musical style blends contemporary Christian music with elements of folk, pop, and country. Ed Cash, a veteran producer and songwriter who previously worked with artists such as Chris Tomlin and Needtobreathe, co-founded the band. This collaborative family dynamic has been central to the group’s identity and sound.

We The Kingdom released their debut single, “Holy Water,” which later achieved RIAA-certified Gold status. They followed with the EP Live at the Wheelhouse and their debut studio album, Holy Water. Further singles include “God So Loved,” “Child of Love,” and “Jesus Does.” The band also released the album We The Kingdom and the holiday EP A Family Christmas.

The band has received significant recognition in Christian music. They won the GMA Dove Award for New Artist of the Year in 2020, followed by Contemporary Christian Artist of the Year in 2021. Their album Holy Water won the Dove Award for Pop/Contemporary Album of the Year in 2021. At the 63rd Annual Grammy Awards in 2021, the group received two Grammy Award nominations.
