Lavender Obuya

Lavender Obuya is a Kenyan gospel minister, songwriter, and content creator, commonly referred to as Pastor Lavender Obuya. She began her recorded music career around 2013, and her worship ministry has since centered on sharing messages of faith through music performed primarily in the Luo language and Swahili.

In 2017, she launched her YouTube channel, which quickly became a primary platform for her worship ministry. Her growing online audience earned her a YouTube Creator Award after reaching 100,000 subscribers. Her catalog includes songs such as Nyasaye Ngima, Sema Nami, Asante Yesu, Yesu Ong'uononwa, Enda Nami, and Holy Is The Lamb. She has also collaborated with other artists, including Bro Samwel on Onge Nyasaye Moro and Ogande Girls and Geoffrey Hedrines on Jesus Is Alive.

Through her recordings and digital presence, Lavender Obuya continues to offer gospel and worship music that draws from the languages and worship expressions of her Kenyan context.
