Born James Ngaita Ngigi on July 15, 1980, in the Kiambu district of Kenya, he attended Moffat Bible College, where he earned a diploma in Bible and Theology. His debut album, Muhadhara, was released in 2008, and its title track became a hit record that established his name in the country's gospel music scene.
