James Ngaita Ngigi aka Jimmy Gait, the first born in a family of four, was born on 15t July 1980 in Kiambu district, Lari division and Escarpment sub location in Kenya. He went to Escarpment Primary School, Lari Secondary School and Moffat Bible College, where he graduated with a High diploma in Bible and Theology. He always used to sing even as a young boy, and participated a lot in music competitions in schools, which he always out shined his competitors His music capability grew with him, until his passion in music made him who he is today musically. He is a focused man and believes that he was born to make it or make it! He is a born again Christian.
