About Benachi
Benachi, whose full name is Benson Ongachi, is a Kenyan gospel singer-songwriter. He was raised in the Makongeni estate and attended Butere High School, where he worked as a percussionist for school functions. He later emerged as a gospel artist in Kenya before relocating to the United States.
Benachi is best known for his collaboration with the late gospel artist Kaberere on the song "Mwanake." He has spoken publicly about his faith and the influence of Kaberere as a spiritual mentor on his career. The song helped establish his presence in Kenyan gospel music.
His catalog includes other recordings such as "Ebenezer," "Tulia," "Dawa," "Nifinyange," "Tembea Nami," "Nitembelee," and "Umenitosha." Benachi is married and is a father.
