Meaning & Inspiration
Great Is Thy Faithfulness is a hymn of praise for God's unchanging faithfulness. The opening says there is no shadow of turning with Him, that His compassions do not fail and that He remains as He has been. The refrain points to morning by morning and new mercies, and says all that is needed has been provided by His hand.
