Tommee Profitt is an American songwriter, record producer, and multi-instrumentalist whose work in Christian music is marked by a distinctive cinematic production style. Born Tommee James Profitt on November 12, 1984, he is originally from Grand Rapids, Michigan. He taught himself to play piano as a child and began producing music at age twelve. In 2017, he moved to Nashville, Tennessee, where he continues to create music that blends orchestral elements with pop and hip-hop.
Profitt has built a notable career through both his own projects and his extensive collaborations. He has worked closely with rapper NF on multiple studio albums, including producing NF’s hit “Let You Down,” which reached No. 1 on the Billboard Pop Chart and earned an 8x RIAA Certified Platinum designation. Profitt has also achieved significant success in the sync industry, securing hundreds of placements in movie trailers, TV promos, and video games. As of 2025, his catalog holds 23 RIAA Platinum and 26 RIAA Gold certifications.
In the Christian music space, Profitt has released projects centered on the seasons of the church year. His 2020 Christmas album The Birth Of A King features orchestral arrangements of traditional carols. He followed with the Easter-themed album The Resurrection of a King in 2026.
