“I Know That I Know,” by The Belonging Co featuring David Dennis, is a song of settled confidence built on God’s faithfulness over a lifetime. The first verse says God has been good “for all my life,” never breaks a promise, and is constant in all He does, and it ties the singer’s choice to follow to Jesus’ words about the way, the truth, and the life in John 14:6.
The chorus states the center of the song: “I know that I know You won’t ever let me go,” followed by “I’ve tasted and I’ve seen” and “You’re faithful all the time.” The phrase echoes Psalm 34:8, “Taste and see that the LORD is good,” and the promise of Hebrews 13:5 that God will not leave His people.
