Meaning & Inspiration
“Shine” by Evie is a call to believers to be a light to a waiting world. The chorus says the world is longing to see the light, crying and waiting in the night for the morning star to shine, and tells the listeners that they are children of light who must shine through the night. The phrase is close to Matthew 5:14-16 and Ephesians 5:8, and the morning star recalls 2 Peter 1:19 and Revelation 22:16.
