PROPHETIC CHANT (AYAYAYA) | PASTOR EMMANUEL IREN FT NOSA
Meaning & Inspiration
Pastor Emmanuel Iren and Nosa gave us something different with Prophetic Chant (Ayayaya) back in 2021. Sometimes we complicate worship with dense theological treatises when the soul simply needs to erupt in raw praise. This track strips away the fluff and focuses on the vertical reality of God’s glory and the horizontal reality of the believer’s authority. It is a rhythmic, repetitive declaration that acts like a spiritual reset button. When the chorus keeps coming back to Glory be to God, it draws us into the same posture as the four living creatures in Revelation who never cease to praise the One seated on the throne.
The theology here is rooted in the finished work of the cross. When the lyrics claim, I trample on the enemy, they aren't boasting in human strength. Instead, this is the practical application of Luke 10:19, where Jesus gives us authority to tread on serpents and scorpions. It is a bold confession that the power residing in the believer is not our own but a derivative of the One who holds the keys of death and Hades. By linking the phrase I do the impossible to the refrain Glory be to God, the song maintains a vital balance. It avoids the trap of prideful humanism because every victory is explicitly tethered back to the glory of the Father.
This chant works because it moves beyond intellect and hits the spirit. We see the power of praise in 2 Chronicles 20, where Jehoshaphat’s army didn't start with a military strategy but with a song of praise, and the confusion of the enemy followed. When you sing that you are always victorious, you are standing on the promise of 1 Corinthians 15:57, which tells us that God gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. It is not a suggestion; it is a spiritual fact. This music demands that you stop questioning your circumstances and start magnifying the only One who controls them. If you can keep the glory of God in your mouth, you’ll find that the impossible suddenly looks a lot smaller.
