“Forever (Give Thanks to the Lord)” by Chris Tomlin is a congregational praise song built on the refrain “His love endures forever.” The first verse calls on listeners to give thanks to the Lord, their God and King, who is above all things. The second verse speaks of a mighty hand and outstretched arm and of a life that has been reborn.
The chorus is a plain confession: “Forever God is faithful, forever God is strong, forever God is with us.” The third verse looks from the rising to the setting of the sun and trusts the grace of God to carry the singers on.
