Clarence Jumba - Wathamani Lyrics
Lyrics
Nimekuona ulivyotukuka enzini mwako
Mfalme wa wafalme wewe ni wathamani
Mtakatifu wa watakatifu wote
Hakuna kama wewe, wewe ni wathamani
Utukufu heshima uweza pia mamalaka
Ni zako wewe Bwana, Yesu wathamani
Enzini pako, umejaa utukufu mwingi
Umerembeka sana, wewe ni wathamani
Maserafi na makerubi, wasema mtakatifu
Unastahili milele yote, mfalme wathamani
Ninaungana na jeshi la mbinguni kuleta
Ibada iwe manukato kwako, wewe wathamani
Sina mwingine wakuabudu mimi,
Ila ni wewe Bwana wewe wa thamani
Nakuabudu kwa roho pia na kweli Yesu
Mfalme wa walfame, wewe ni wathamani
Wathamani Yesu wa thamani
Bwana wa thamani, wewe ni wa thamani
Wastahili heshima na utukufu
Uweza na mamlaka, wewe ni wathamani
Pokea sifa na maabudu
Shukurani na baraka, Wewe ni wathamani
Uliyekuwepo, wewe uliyepo
Utakayekuwepo wewe ni wathamani .
Barabara yako imeundwa kwa dhahabu
Fedha na dhahabu, zote zako wewe wathamani
Hata nguo yako inapigiwa kurana na walinzi
Nani kama wewe Mungu wa thamani
Nayo damu yako, inaondowa uwovu wote
Nayo mikono yangu, nakuinulia wewe Baba
Magoti nakupigia, Yesu wathamani
Wathamani Yesu wa thamani
Bwana wa thamani, wewe ni wa thamani
Wastahili heshima na utukufu
Uweza na mamlaka, wewe ni wathamani
Pokea sifa na maabudu
Uliyekuwepo, wewe uliyepo
Utakayekuwepo wewe ni wathamani
Uuuuh uu uuuuh, uuu uuh uuuh .
Wathamani Yesu wa thamani
Bwana wa thamani, wewe ni wa thamani
Mtakatifu Yesu mtakatifu
Bwana wa mtakatifu, wewe ni wa thamani
wauweza Yesu wa wauweza
Bwana wa wauweza, wewe ni wa thamani
Waajabu Yesu wa ajabu
Bwana wa ajabu, wewe ni wa thamani
Wathamani Yesu wa thamani
Bwana wa thamani, wewe ni wa thamani
Shukurani na baraka, Wewe ni wathamani

WaThamani - Clarence Jumba
Meaning & Inspiration
Listening to this, I’m struck by how much it centers on the holiness of God. It brings me straight to those passages in Revelation where the seraphim and cherubim are crying out that He is holy, just like the lyrics say. It’s heavy, in a good way, to be reminded that He is the King who was, and is, and is to come. When the song calls Him the way, the truth, and the life, I find myself thinking of John 14:6—it’s not just a nice lyric, but the actual foundation of everything we believe. It’s like the song is trying to catch a glimpse of the throne room, and honestly, that’s a hard thing to capture without getting lost in the mystery of it all.
The part about His blood washing away sin really grabs me because that’s where the theology shifts from just observing God's glory to actually needing Him for salvation. It’s grounded in that truth that there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved. Still, I find myself wondering if I’m really living as if He is the one of such great value, or if I’m just singing the words. The lyrics push me to examine my own heart, especially when it mentions worshiping in spirit and truth. It makes me stop and ask if my own worship is just noise or if it’s coming from a place of genuine surrender to the King of Kings. I keep coming back to the weight of that title—"wathamani"—meaning He is the one of ultimate worth. Is He truly my treasure, or is that just a song title? The struggle to make those words real in my daily walk is where I find myself landing as the music fades.
