Lyrics
Thought that it’d be easy
But You never promised that
Following Your footsteps
Is a lonely narrow path
Didn’t know when I called Your name
Some things would have to die
There’s something bout this gospel
That sure messed up my life
I ain’t ever been the same
Since Jesus
Ain’t a thing that hasn’t changed
Since Jesus
He wrecked the plans
Of this broken man
Turned a heart of stone to pieces
I ain’t ever been the same
Since Jesus
I left behind my luggage
When I picked up that cross
Don’t always wanna give it
But I give You all I’ve got
Kick the dust right off my feet
And find me another town
Doesn’t matter where I go
All that matters is I’m found
I ain’t ever been the same
Since Jesus
Ain’t a thing that hasn’t changed
Since Jesus
He wrecked the plans
Of this broken man
Turned a heart of stone to pieces
I ain’t ever been the same
Since Jesus walked out of that grave
With my freedom in His hands
He tore the chains right off of me
And told me who I am
I ain’t ever been the same
Since Jesus
Ain’t a thing that hasn’t changed
Since Jesus
He wrecked the plans
Of this broken man
And turned a heart of stone to pieces
I ain’t ever been the same
Ever been the same
Since Jesus
