About Tenth Avenue North
Tenth Avenue North is an American contemporary Christian music band that formed while its founding members were students at Palm Beach Atlantic University in West Palm Beach, Florida. The group took its name from an east-west road located in Palm Beach County. Since its formation in 2000, the band has experienced various lineup changes.
Tenth Avenue North released its debut studio album, Over and Underneath, in 2008 on Reunion Records. The album included the single “By Your Side,” which earned the group significant recognition. At the 40th GMA Dove Awards in 2009, the band won New Artist of the Year, and the following year at the 41st GMA Dove Awards, “By Your Side” was awarded Song of the Year. The single also achieved RIAA Platinum certification. The band’s next album, The Light Meets The Dark, arrived in 2010, featuring the single “You Are More,” which became the No. 1 song on the Billboard Hot Christian Songs year-end chart in 2011.
Tenth Avenue North continued to release albums through the 2010s, including The Struggle (2012), Cathedrals (2014), and No Shame (2019). In 2018, the band launched its own record imprint, ReMade Records. The group announced an amicable disbandment in 2020, but later reformed in 2023. A new album, Learning To Trust, was released in 2025.
