About Steve Crown
Steve Crown, born Steve Crown Uche Okolo, is a Nigerian gospel singer, songwriter, and worship leader. He was born on September 27, 1990, and is a native of Benue State, Nigeria. Crown began singing at the age of four and joined the choir at Saint John’s Anglican Church when he was eight. He is a graduate of law from the University of Abuja.
Crown is the founder and CEO of the record label Lakelight Entertainment. His early solo release, “You Are Great,” helped introduce his music to a wider audience. That song was followed by the single “You Are Yahweh.” He has since released several albums, including Nations Will Rise and Sing, Faith Is Rising, and Kairos.
His catalog also includes the single “Jesus Power” as well as collaborative songs such as “Mighty God,” featuring Nathaniel Bassey, and “Angels Bow,” featuring Phil Thompson. Through his writing and worship ministry, Steve Crown continues to contribute to the landscape of contemporary gospel music in Nigeria.
