Praise Makena

Praise Makena is a Kenyan gospel singer and songwriter. She was born on October 24, 2004, in Nakuru, Kenya.

Her music career began early; she started as a dancer in church at age two. By the age of five, she released her first album, titled “Atakupigania.” The song “Mungu Yu Mwema” is noted for contributing to her early recognition. Her catalog also includes songs such as “Thank You My Lord,” “Wakati Wowote,” “Jina La Yesu,” “Alpha Omega,” and “Nishike Mkono,” as well as the 2023 release Praise Makena Ep.

Through her music, Makena has stated a desire to preach the gospel and impact society. She has also expressed an interest in becoming a pastor in the future.
