About People & Songs
People & Songs is a Christian worship collective and community of creatives, including songwriters, worship leaders, and artists, founded in 2012 by Jennie Lee Riddle and Darrin Riddle. The group is based in La Porte, Indiana, and refers to its members as “musicianaries”—a term reflecting their shared mission to strengthen and release the voice of the Church. By setting aside individual stylistic and denominational preferences, the collective seeks unity in Christ through their collaborative work.
The collective’s activities include songwriting, hosting retreats, and creating content for the Church. As part of that mission, People & Songs organizes “The Emerging Sound,” a summer camp and series of music releases. The Emerging Sound series has produced volumes 1 through 5, offering a platform for emerging voices within the worship community.
Among the songs in the People & Songs catalog are “Psalm 23 (I Am Not Alone),” “What Mercy Did for Me,” “Throne Room Song,” “New Name Written Down in Glory,” “Amen,” and “Let Revival Come (Revive Me).” These recordings reflect the collaborative nature of the collective, as members join together to serve the wider Church through worship music.
