About Paul Baloche
Paul Baloche is an American Christian music artist, worship leader, and singer-songwriter known for his long service as a worship pastor and for songs that are widely used in congregational worship. Born Paul Joseph Baloche on June 4, 1962, in Camden, New Jersey, he later served as the worship pastor at Community Christian Fellowship in Lindale, Texas, for over 25 years. He is an ordained minister and holds a Master of Divinity degree.
Baloche has released numerous albums through Integrity Music. Among the songs in his catalog are “Open the Eyes of My Heart,” “Above All,” “Hosanna,” “Your Name,” “Today Is the Day,” and “Behold Him.” He also co-authored the song “A New Hallelujah.” His compositions have been covered by various Christian artists and are frequently sung in church services.
In addition to his songwriting and pastoral work, Baloche founded LeadWorship.com, a platform that provides training and resources for church worship teams. He has been recognized as a three-time Dove Award-winning songwriter, winning a Dove Award for Inspirational Recorded Song of the Year in 2009 for his co-authorship of “A New Hallelujah.” He also won a GMA Canada Covenant Award for International Album of the Year in 2013 for his French-language album Glorieux.
Baloche currently resides in New York City with his wife, Rita Baloche.
