About Pat Barrett
Pat Barrett is an American Christian worship singer, songwriter, and worship leader based in Atlanta, Georgia. He first gained exposure as a member of the contemporary worship bands Unhindered and Housefires before launching a solo career. He co-wrote the song “Good Good Father,” which reached number one on Billboard’s Hot Christian Songs chart, and in 2018 he became the first artist signed to Bowyer & Bow, a label imprint founded by Chris Tomlin in partnership with Capitol Christian Music Group.
Barrett’s solo discography includes the studio albums Pat Barrett (2018), Act Justly, Love Mercy, Walk Humbly (2021), and Shelter (2023). He also released the live album Canvas and Clay and the EP Nothing/Something. Several songs from his catalog have had significant impact, including “Build My Life,” which earned RIAA Gold Certification. Other notable recordings include “The Way (New Horizon),” “Better,” “Scatter,” and “Morning By Morning (I Will Trust).”
Barrett was nominated for New Artist of the Year at the 2018 GMA Dove Awards and received two nominations at the 2019 GMA Dove Awards—Worship Song of the Year and Worship Recorded Song of the Year—for “Build My Life.” He serves as a worship leader at Grace Midtown in Atlanta, continuing to contribute to the wider worship community through both his songwriting and his local ministry.
